homemade fries

I know, who has time for homemade fries?  BUT, I promise you want to make these.  They are AMAZING!  I bake them, which makes them a little healthier and the spices mixed with the potatoes, MMM, they truly are worth every minute.  With that said, the most time consuming part is cutting the fries, otherwise, you can mix the spices together ahead of time and then keep the remainder in a container with a lid and pull it out the next time. I am not sure which one of my sisters came up with the recipe, so thank you to both Camille and Michelle. (This is the best picture I could get.  We were starved by the time I actually got around to making dinner and so these were immediately taken from the pan and devoured! I snapped this picture right before they were taken).

French Fries
I usually make a bunch of the seasoning, then put them in an airtight container for easy use whenever we feel like fries.
4-5 potatoes, washed and peeled
1 Tbsp onion salt
1 Tbsp season all (season salt)
1 Tbsp garlic salt
1 tsp (up to 1 TBS) chili powder
1-2 tbsp olive oil

Cut potatoes into fries shape.  Mix onion salt, garlic salt, and season salt in a small bowl.  In a large bowl with a lid drop in fries, add olive oil and seasoning mix.  Put lid on and shake until the fries are well coated.  Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.  Watch them so they don’t burn.  I usually turn my fries once or twice during cooking so they don't burn. You can also turn up the heat to cook them faster, or down the heat to cook slower.  Serve with your favorite dipping sauce...we love honey mustard!

NOTE: I use closer to 1 TBS chili powder, but start slow, as to not make it too much for your family.  My kids are fine with the entire TBS.
