Branded in the 80s has a fun bit about the introduction of Monster Cereal Yummy Mummy.

I actually cannot remember if I have ever eaten YM or the werewolf one, Fruit Brute, but I know I've had the Big Three -- Count Chocula, BooBerry and FrankenBerry. None of them taste great, in my opinion. CC is about the best, BB has the cutest mascot, and FB is like chewing on insulation flavored with cheap strawberry perfume from Avon.
