Watch out for Pakistan for a series of level tests, says Rizwan

Pak vs WI: Pakistan eye to level Test series, says Rizwan

KINGSTON: Pakistan are looking forward to leveling the test series with the West Indies as the two teams prepare for the second test of the two-game ICC World Test Championship series today at Sabina Park, Jamaica.

Vice-captain of Pakistani cricket test Muhammad Rizwan said today’s test is very important for his team. “We put defeat behind us and are now aiming to win the next game starting tomorrow to level the series,” Rizwan said during a virtual press conference.

He said the first test was a captivating game that kept fans in suspense, but unfortunately Pakistan lost the test.

Rizwan recognized that the Men in Green need to improve their fielding skills. “We have to make an extra effort in that department. We have to grasp the catches that happen to us, especially in the crucial phases if we want to win the games. “

The wicketkeeper’s batsman admitted that Pakistan have had close encounters recently in the five-day format where they have failed to achieve the desirable result.

However, Rizwan pointed out that the Pakistan Test team had learned from their mistakes and were anxious not to repeat them in the next game against the West Indies.

“The second test is crucial for us because we want to end the series on a positive note,” said Rizwan.

Responding to a question about the performance of the leaders in the first game, Rizwan agreed that the former did not live up to the occasion. However, he still defended his teammates by saying it was not an easy wicket to beat.

“I think the first ones did their best to see the new ball and I expect them to do better in the next match.”
